SlightEdge Receives Award for one of 2019 Best Places to Work — Again
On July 30, 2019, SlightEdge attended a ceremony to accept the award for Philadelphia Business Journal 2019 Best Places to Work in Philadelphia. This award is not about our clients, it’s not about the revenue we generate, it’s about our people. There were 5 areas that were measured such as work environment, personal growth, professional development, people and embracing change/new ideas. We are proud to say that we have received this award in the past and even more proud to say that we have won it this year. This is a reflection of why we enjoy our jobs so much. This is a reflection of why we have been experiencing massive growth and expansion over recent years.
Anywhere you look around our company we focus and promote 3 things — entrepreneurship, community & personal development. We believe this award hosted by the Philadelphia Business Journal is a true reflection of what SlightEdge stands for.
Entrepreneurship — At our company, promotions are solely organic. The word seniority has been replaced with performance and leadership demonstrations. This allows our employees to take a lot of pride and ownership in their position and to think more like an entrepreneur than an employee.
Community — We wouldn’t have a city to work in without the community around it. We embrace Philadelphia. We embrace the arts, the neighborhoods and of coarse the sports. We are always attending local events or donating our time to better our city. Without it, we wouldn’t have a home.
Personal Development — We work every day to help develop our team members with the tools necessary to exceed career goals that they never thought possible. We encourage personal development because we know the growth of our company will only occur if we endeavor to develop our employees to their fullest potential.
We do not take this award lightly. Being one of the 2019 Best Places to Work in Philadelphia only fuels us to want to be recognized again for this award. That means surpassing the results and goals we have already achieved. That means working even harder to be a reflection of entrepreneurship, community, and personal development.
