Reflecting on 2021 at SlightEdge

SlightEdge, like many other small businesses, is still doing its best to innovate & thrive during a pandemic. 2020 was for adapting and trying to figure out how to run a business with constant changes from working remotely, staying safe while in person, and finding a solution to needing out work at the click of our fingers. As we found solutions to all of that, 2021 was for thriving and growing. We were able to come together as a company and have a year with so many wins, you wouldn’t know we were going through a pandemic.

From running a hybrid schedule of virtual and in-person meetings to being able to travel again, our team and our clients got a great version of SlightEdge. It’s amazing what you can do on Zoom, including a Murder Mystery Dinner we attended to start the new year. If you ask most of our staff, 2 of our favorite things to do are travel and support our Philadelphia sports teams and we did plenty of that! From road trips to Baltimore to a trip to San Diego & Mexico, we were able to expand our employee’s experiences in 2021. A rain delay mid-Phillies game didn’t stop some of us from enjoying being back at Citizens Bank Ballpark or no type of weather could stop us from being at the Linc to cheer on our Eagles.

Obviously, it was great to be able to do all of those fun things together again but what’s even better is not only happy employees but happier clients. Professionally we had an amazing year as well. Using a CRM and transitioning our client engagements to digital, we were able to drive more sales and celebrate more bonuses. During the summer we were able to take on another client and expand into another industry. As the President reflected on the year he said,

“2021 was a great example that the principles in business don’t change but the approach can. Live to our core values and continue to find ways to innovate.”

In the office, we were able to host our client, and go back to having fun-themed days at the office like “Alma Mater Day” and come together to wear pink for breast cancer awareness.

The best companies and teams are the ones with the best dynamic. They are the ones that know each other strengths and weaknesses and capitalize on them. And we believe all of this is possible through team bonding and having amazing experiences together. Each year we make it our goal at SlightEdge to grow and improve so if our progress & growth in 2021 is any indication of what 2022 will be like, stay tuned for a massively successful year. In the meantime, enjoy some photos that sum up last year.
