At SlightEdge we always believe in being a student and continuously educating ourselves, however in September, we are reminded of ‘back to school’ and we always like to revisit the basics. Every person and every organization has values and traits that they look for in their partners and associates and we do as well! In sticking to our ‘back to school’ theme, we wanted to visit the ABCs of SlightEdge.

Accountability
It is important to have someone help hold you accountable to your commitments whether that’s daily, monthly, or weekly check-ins.

Balance
You will play many roles in your life and it’s important you balance it and spend intentional time when you’re with people.

Confidence
Confidence is not a cocky trait. It is believing in you and your ability to accomplish great things.

Dress Sharp
First impressions make a lasting impact. This will not only help you with relationships but give you more confidence.

Eye Contact
Maintaining eye contact during a presentation or in a conversation will build trust and show you’re engaged.

Follow-through
Setting a goal is one thing, but following through shows that you’re a man/woman of your word.

Goals
Setting goals are important to help give you something to work towards and track your progress in general.

Hands-on
Management is hands-on with its team to ensure there are the most growth and best performance from each employee.

Integrity
Always do the right thing even when no one is watching. Your client, employees, family, etc will value your relationship because of it.

Job vs Career
People who are looking for a job just check-in and check out every day but those looking for a career, give their all every day.

Kindness
Being kind will add a smile to someone’s day and will help build everyone around you ensuring a great environment.

Learning
You are never done learning in life and there is a lesson in every failure and every success.

Motivation
Every day you wake up you need to know what motivates you. Is it a pump-up video, a photo of your child, or reading a chapter in your book? If you’re not sure what that is yet, we will help you discover it.

Networking
Connecting with people is a way to learn, grow your business, and grow your mind.

Organization
The more organized you are, the easier you will find your day is. Take time every Sunday to plan out your week.

Presentation
Prepare and practice your sales presentations to ensure you address all the points and exude confidence.

Questions
The only true way to identify what someone is looking for is to ask lots of questions; the easy ones, the tough ones, the obvious ones.

Reliability
Can you be trusted to do your work, follow through on your responsibilities, and on your word?

Sales
Sales are the root of every business. No matter what industry you’re in, it is important to master the skillsets around it.

Teamwork
As the saying goes, “teamwork makes the dream work”. Collaborating together will make it more fun and help us hit goals.

Unity
It’s important to know the vision and mission of our company so you can all be on the same page and know what you’re working towards.

Victory
You need to celebrate every victory big or small. Get excited about the little steps and give yourself credit when you earn it.

Win-Win
Everything we do needs to make sense for the client and the customer, for the employee and the company.

X-Factor
The “X” or “It” Factor is having and bringing something to our company that we need or are missing.

Yes
Say yes to challenges, say yes to new opportunities, say yes to things our of your comfort zone and you’ll surprise yourself with what you can accomplish.

Zealous
Bring passion and energy to your days. It is contagious so not only you but the people are you will feed off of that energy.
